Jesus died so that we would be saved, set free, and experience complete wholeness. That includes the body, soul, and spirit.

Sadly, most leaders in the church have neglected to address the importance of possessing a healthy body. This vital subject of wholeness has been left sitting on the shelf…ignored. You rarely, if ever, hear a message about health in a church. Contrary to many belief systems, healthy living is a very spiritual and Biblical topic. Why has this been unaddressed?
I believe in Divine healing and miracles and flow in these gifts. However, it is better to prevent disease rather than to need healing or a miracle.
I want everyone to feel energetic, feel good about themselves, and be healthy. A vital part of the New Covenant is that we can enjoy Divine health for the length of our days! But we can’t expect that if we are violating natural laws such as not getting enough sleep, or healthy hydration, or healthy movement, or monitoring stress, and eating unhealthy foods.
It is heartbreaking when I conduct a School of Healing and Miracles, or minister after a meeting and see the Lord heal a hip, knee, or ankle, and then the person loses their healing. Sometimes the person has an extra 40, 60, 80, or even 100 pounds or more of weight to lose and because of that, they end up re-blowing out the injured part of their body and lose their miracle. I lift weights at the gym every week, and I know how much weight all that extra weight is! I can’t hardly even budge the 80-pound dumbbell with both hands so I can’t imagine that on a frame with bones and joints carrying it around. Our bodies were not designed to handle all that extra weight. To prove my point, put a couple bags of potatoes in a large backpack and try carrying that around for a day. You will feel new pain around places of your body that you didn’t have before! Did you know for every 10 pounds of weight that you lose, it’s over 100 pounds of pressure alleviated from your ankles, knee’s, and lower joints! Yet so many people have backs in excruciating pain, knees that are in chronic pain, and feet and ankle issues. Some are considering or have undergone risky surgeries. The great news is, I have seen people who dropped weight and significantly reduced or eliminated their chronic health issues. This includes knee pain, back pain, inflammation, diabetes, and high blood pressure, just to name a few things. Even though I cannot promise these results to everyone, God created our body to heal itself and if we stop doing things that cause disease and start giving it quality food so our bodies may repair the damage. The key is to quit unhealthy habits and in place, create healthy habits. That is not a diet, but a complete lifestyle change! It doesn’t happen overnight, but in time, it will pay you back high dividends of better health. And it is worth the investment of time and finances because your health is priceless.
It’s also frustrating to cast out a spirit of bondage at a deliverance seminar only to have the person continue in unhealthy habits and not come into the full healing of what the Lord has done. This is because of the ongoing unhealthy patterns of behavior and poor choices. There is a part of the equation that most people miss. The MIND needs to be renewed, retrained, or reset to break the old negative patterns and create healthy habits for breakthrough and lasting transformation to occur. You might have heard the saying, “where the mind is, the body will follow.” This has proven right when it comes to weight loss and establishing healthy habits.
God wants us to have and enjoy our life in good health! He wants us to enjoy a happy and abundant quality of life.
